Group will travel from Douglassville to Lake Placid NY with comfort stops and lunch on their own. Nestled right on the shores of Mirror Lake, High Peaks Resort has spectacular views in every direction - crystal water, rugged mountain peaks, and the little town's historic Main Street just steps away. The architecture and interior decor lean heavily into Adirondack style: lots of natural woods, stone, warmth, and rustic elegance. It's cozy but refined, with a lodge-like feel that invites you to unwind. Tonight we'll have a dinner and reception with an actual Olympian. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the moment!

Visitors enjoy a safe and scenic half­ mile walk along groomed paths, bridges, and steel walkways­ even glass platforms that allow you to look straight down into the rushing water. The experience takes about 30 minutes, with an optional one-mile woodland trail for those who want more. In every season, the gorge is stunning! A cafe and gift shop provide a comfortable spot to relax after exploring. Continue your journey along the Whiteface Mountain Veterans' Highway offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Adirondack High Peaks and is a favorite for photographers and nature lovers alike. Lunch is included at High Falls Gorge, offering a chance to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings. Next, visit the Olympic Ski Jumping Complex - start by riding an 8-person "pulse" gondola that lifts you from the base lodge up to the bottom of the ski jump towers, giving you sweeping views of the landing hill. Then take a glass-enclosed elevator up the HS- 128 meter jump tower, where the observation deck offers panoramic views of Lake Placid and the Adirondack High Peaks. At the base, there's also a coach's deck where visitors can get up close to the HS-100 and HS-128 ramps and see how jumpers launch. The Lake Placid Olympic Museum celebrates the legacy of Lake Placid's 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games. It features immersive exhibits and interactive displays: you'll see original artifacts like Olympic torches, uniforms, medals, equipment, and artwork; there are multimedia presentations, a bobsled simulation, and stories of the athletes. Tour the bear-making process - from cutting the fur, sewing, stuffing, to finishing touches. Highlights include a Bear Hospital for repairs, a "Make a Friend for Life" workshop where visitors can assemble their own bear, and the Bear Shop with hundreds of designs and accessories. Today Lunch will be provided as a hearty boxed lunch. Explore Shelburne Museum, featuring 39 exhibition buildings-25 of which are historic structures moved from across New England. Inside are over 100,000 objects spanning American art, folk art, decorative arts, carriages, quilts, toys, and more. Notable highlights include a 220-foot side-wheel steamboat (Ticonderoga), a vintage carousel, and the Electra Havemeyer Webb Memorial Building housing European and American paintings.
