Safety

Klein Transportation operates in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Our vehicles are speed governed and monitored through GPS to assure compliance with laws and efficient operations. Klein consistently achieves both the highest federal DOT and the highest US Military safety rating and we are proud of it! Drivers are evaluated on a yearly basis and are scheduled for updated safety and customer service training regularly before being recertified to operate their vehicles. Our mechanical staff takes pride in our vehicles and they are provided with thorough mechanical care. To ensure hours-of-service compliance, our vehicles are equipped with electronic logging devices and global positioning system technologies. You can sit back and relax because we know where your bus is.

 

Driver Training

Klein Transportation’s Training Department prepares prospective drivers for situations arising in positions as mini bus operators, school bus operators, and motorcoach operators. The driving training is based on the principals of the Smith System® advanced driver training but also touches on the importance of customer service and efficiency. Klein staff members evaluate each driver on a yearly basis and drivers are scheduled for additional safety training on a regular basis to keep skills sharp. Drivers are trained

 

Maintenance

Our highly skilled mechanics keep our fleet of vehicles operating the best possible condition.  We operate our own full service garage, do our own repairs with our own mechanics and utilize a state-of-the-art onsite wash bay to keep our vehicles cleaned and sanitized.

 

Technology

Klein Transportation uses electronic logging devices to have instant 24 hour per day access to our driver’s hours-of-service compliance and safety. Global positioning systems allow dispatchers and managers to see each vehicle in real-time, run reports on locations and timing, and to notice trends that can be corrected before they become a problem. Each vehicle has a video surveillance system for both security and for periodic driver evaluation.
