Following the tour, visit the Carroll Gallery Exhibit, where seasonal displays and exhibits showcase the rich history, architecture, and holiday heritage of Cape May.
After the morning tour, enjoy several hours to explore Cape May at your leisure. Browse unique boutiques, visit specialty shops, stroll through the historic district, or relax at one of the town's cozy cafés. Cape May offers plenty of opportunities for holiday shopping and sightseeing amid its picturesque Victorian streets.

Relax aboard an open-air trolley as you admire dazzling light displays, Victorian homes adorned for the holidays, and the festive atmosphere that makes Cape May one of the East Coast's premier Christmas destinations.
Please note: Trolley tours are conducted on open-air vehicles, so guests should dress warmly for the weather. Walkers are not permitted on the trolley.

Physick Family Christmas & Carroll Gallery Exhibit
Travel back in time and immerse yourself in the beauty of a Victorian Christmas at the 1879 Physick Estate. The Physick house is adorned in authentic holiday decorations, adding to the festive atmosphere. As you tour the estate, interact with a member of the Physick Family household from the 1890s and gain insight into their lives during this time.
The Carroll Gallery at the Physick Estate becomes a Christmas wonderland this time of year. It's all about the wonder of Christmas morning with model trains and Dept. 56 Dickens Village beneath the boughs of a giant tree. You can stand under our tree and feel like a kid on Christmas morning!

During dinner, delight in an engaging presentation highlighting cherished Christmas traditions and customs. Much of what we associate with the secular celebration of Christmas comes from the Victorian Era, including Christmas trees, Christmas cards, our image of Santa Claus, and many other features. You will learn how Prince Albert brought these traditions to England from Germany when he married Queen Victoria, and how they then spread to America.

Holiday Lights Trolley Tour
Board your trolley and enjoy a front row view of Cape May's holiday decorations as the trolley winds its way through town. Listen to your guide and learn about exterior holiday decorations, wassailing/caroling, the evolution of Santa, traditions of gift givers and the history of Christmas.
