Cape Cod & The Islands - Hyannis, Provincetown, Nantucket, Plymouth
Day One
Arrive mid afternoon and meet your guide who will begin your four day stay with a visit to Whydah Pirate Museum followed by a tour of Hyannis including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial and view of St. Francis Xavier Church, the summer parish of the Kennedy Family. Next. head to the hotel to check-in and freshen up for an included dinner.
DDay Two
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide. You will travel historic ROUTE 6A, the Old King's Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. View a windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor's Center. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach "Land's End," Provincetown. You are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod. Formerly known as the Bay in Plymouth. The story started here in 1620 where the Pilgrims spent their first five weeks exploring Cape Cod. It was here that they signed the Mayflower Compact; the catalyst for American democracy. Enjoy lunch on your own before boarding an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of either Whale Watching or a Dune Tour. Whale Watchers will travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed. Watchers can try to spot Humpback, Minke and Fin whales! An onboard naturalist will indtroduce you to everything you see and will answer any of your questions about the whales, birds, fish and lighthouses. Those on the Dune Tour will ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore, the largest protected coastline in the country. Your driver/guide wil point out the "dune shacks" where famous artists and writers became inspired to create their art. After a full day of tourning enjoy an included dinner.
B, DDay Three
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide. You will be escorted to the Hy-Line Docks to board the ferry to the stunning island of Nantucket. Upon arrival, your guide will point out restaurants, galleries, shops, and museums that are within walking distance of the dock. Admission is included on a Nantucket Island Tour at at time specified by your guide. Enjoy lunch and shopping on our own. Once back on the mainland, enjoy an included Lobster Dinner.
B, DDay Four
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your local guide to travel to America's Hometown - Plymouth. Home of our Pilgrim Fathers and one of the country's first settlements, it is well known in the United States for its historical value. Board a Lobster Tales Cruise to learn about the many creatures that live in Plymouth Harbor. Experience a "hands on" approach to see how lobsters are harvested from their natural environment. Roll up your sleeves to help haul in lobster traps! A picture stop will be made at the Forefather's Monument, the largest, solid granite monument in the United States. A picture stop will also be made at the Plymouth Rock, the traditional site of disembarkation of the Pilgrims in 1620.
